I believe there must be a balance between daily commitments and life’s adventures.
Yesterday, a window for journey and travel was wide open, but today I am a husband, father, business owner, and non-profit director. For countless long months, my stifled heart ached to get ‘out there’ to no satisfaction.
This blog is dedicated to the best solution I have found to date. I call it BlinkPacking — the art of cramming as much adventure as possible into as tiny a schedule as possible, spending as little as possible while roaming as far as possible. May my tales, tips, and travelogues inspire you to get out and do the same.
Journey on.
Hi! I love your idea of BlinkPacking! I do the same thing, but your term for it is just perfect! I love to maximize the experience while minimizing expenditure. Great Blog!=)
Hi Ann. Thanks so much! I think there are many of us out there, and it is exciting to start to connect with others who find adventure amid life’s constraints. Would you ever consider guest-posting on the BlinkPack blog? I would be delighted to feature a story about your own BlinkPacking travels, and would be glad to use that as a vehicle to promote your blog. Just let me know if you are interested in that. Thanks again for stopping by and taking the time to comment. Happy trails!
Hi Josh! I would love to! I will let you know if ever I would do some blinkpacking in the near future. Guest-posting sounds good to me. Thanks!=)
That is great news Ann. I just sent an email to you, and I look forward to collaborating soon. Cheers.
You sound like a pretty neat guy and I like the idea of your blog. My husband and I are retired and so don’t have the problem of fitting something in our schedule except that we have so much stuff going on we sometimes could be double booked. We like affordable activities, free is even better and where we live there are lots of opportunities for things in our budget. Once in awhile we splurge. I live in Travelers Rest SC near Greenville, Asheville and Atlanta. Only 4 hours from the ocean.
South Carolina is a great place with a great variety of affordable things to do. My entire life feels double-booked (and even triple-booked sometimes) — which can be frustrating. But adventure is so essential in keeping my spirits up, so I keep trying to get myself out there. In the ‘splurge’ category, do you have anything on the list that you hope to do soon? Thanks for connecting, and happy trails! -Josh

Hi Josh! I read through your older posts last night. So glad I found your blog. I’ve been much better at making the most of my weekends over the last year, but I could be doing more, and your blog is great inspiration. I’ve been meaning to do more travel with MegaBus, so I’m looking forward to reading more about your bus trips. Keep it up!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read. The only reason I keep writing is to hopefully inspire readers like yourself to make the most of every opportunity for adventure. And when someone like you takes the time to write a great comment like that, I am inspired to keep on typing. Thanks for keeping me going, and please stay in touch. Cheers!
