Tunes for the Road: Lord Huron, “Time to Run”

Tunes for the Road

“Lower your defense, run away with me and it’ll all make sense”

This week on the BlinkPack blog, we feature a relatively recent song from a fantastic up-and-coming band, Lord Huron.   With their first LP released only last month, they released this tune as it’s single.

The song follows a man who must leave his home, and is trying to convince someone he loves to join him. Although it’s ultimately ambiguous on why he has to flee, is an exciting and unique song — evoking emotions for those of us who feel the need to leave our past behind from time to time.

You may feel that you don’t relate, but just crank this up the next time you’re heading down your nearest interstate highway. It’ll all make sense.

Now it’s your turn. What’s a favorite roadtrip song you always have to listen to?

Tim is a husband, father, nomad, and International Media Producer, currently residing in Atlanta. When he’s not spending time with his family or friends, you can usually find him behind a camera or listening to music or podcasts (and lately, trying to write and re-write this pesky bio). Check back here each Wednesday for more Tunes for the Road. And check out his personal blog here
